The coal mine of Fangyuan Mining Co., Ltd. in Hengshan County, Shaanxi Province is located in the northeast of Hengshan County, and the administrative division is under the jurisdiction of Boluo Town, Hengshan County. The surface of the mine is basically covered by loose sediments of the Quaternary series, and large gullies are sporadically exposed. The mining area is a multi-well integrated mine, mainly expanding the coal area in the east of the wellfield to 11.2756 square kilometers, and 3 coal seams are approved for mining.

In order to timely and accurately monitor the changes in water quality in the discharge of pollution sources, Fangyuan Coal Mine has installed an automatic monitoring system for pollution sources at the discharge outlet. Among them, the water quality monitoring equipment uses PCM300-CODcr online COD analyzer, PCM300-NH3N ammonia nitrogen online analyzer, PPH-500 online PH analyzer, PSS-800 online SS analyzer, and PAS-305A automatic water quality sampler produced by Probest.
