The working principle of ultrasonic level gauge is that the transducer (probe) emits a high-frequency ultrasonic pulse that is reflected back when it encounters the surface of the measured medium, and is partially received by a transducer and converted into an electrical signal. The ultrasonic pulse propagates at the speed of sound waves, and the time interval from transmission to reception of the ultrasonic pulse is directly proportional to the distance on the surface of the transducer.
